Part 2: How to Make Your Digital Signs Loop

  Time to read 1 min

Want to make your digital signs more interesting and keep people watching? This is the second part of the mini-series about Luna Screens' features. Luna Screens lets you upload files to a Media Library and then create playlists that loop. It is quite useful, and you do not have to be a digital signage pro to figure out how it works.

What Is the Deal with Looping Playlists?

Luna Screens lets you store videos, images, and web pages in one place. Then, you can conveniently use the stored files to build your playlists – decide how long each file will be displayed on the screen and let it play on repeat. This keeps your screens interesting without you needing to constantly manage them. Plus, it works with many file types.

Who Is It For?

There are quite a lot of businesses that can benefit from this feature and here’s a few practical examples:

  • Shops: A clothing store would likely be featuring the latest fashion snapshots, best-selling clothing brands, and well-stocked baby items on the screens. It makes you want to look around and maybe buy something.

  • Restaurants: How about seeing mouth-watering food pics, cooking videos, and happy customer feedback at a cafe. You will probably want to order more.

  • Gyms: It is quite motivating to watch live workout demos, random fitness challenges, and an active fitness community.

  • Farmer’s Market: A bustling marketplace with all the fresh local produce, videos of sustainable and eco-friendly practices, and retail or wholesale prices. Consumers will have access to additional visual information.

The bottom line is that pretty much anyone who wants better digital signs can use this. Luna Screens can definitely help you grab your audience’s attention.

How Do I Make These Looping Playlists?

  1. Log in to Luna Screens from your web browser or mobile phone.

  2. Go to the Media Library and upload your files in two ways. Click ‘Add new item’ or simply drag and drop multiple files in the library.

  3. When creating playlists, click ‘Add new item’ to go to the Add Content page and select the Playlist option to access the playlist settings page.

  4. On the playlist settings page, fill out the ‘Playlist name’ field and click ‘Add’ to build your playlist content one file at a time.

  5. For each file, set the value (in seconds) in the ‘This runs for __ seconds’ field to tell each file how long to play so it loops the way you want and click ‘Add.’

  6. If you have added multiple files and need to rearrange them in any order, drag them up or down and click ‘Save.’

Why Even Bother?

  • To Get Noticed: A mix of videos, images, and text will grab and hold attention.

  • To Save Time: Set it up once and let it run on its own. No need for constant updates.

  • To Keep It Interesting: Use new content regularly.

When Should You Use These Playlists?

  • Events: Feature venues, share teasers of guests, and sign-up details for upcoming events.

  • New Products: Get people interested in new stuff with demos, reviews, and deals.

  • Social Media: Show your latest post, user content, and hashtag campaigns.

Luna Screens’ looping playlist feature is another great reason to make your digital screens better and more interesting - give it a shot!
