Before diving into specifics, let us explore the concept of the drag-and-drop method. If you search for the phrase “What is the origin of the drag-and-drop feature in software systems?” on Google, the results will lead you back to the early days of graphical user interfaces (GUIs) and the Xerox Star, one of the first commercial GUIs developed in the 1970s. Later, in 1984, the original Macintosh was launched, incorporating drag-and-drop functionality and establishing it as a standard feature for manipulating files and data. The rest is history – the growth and widespread adoption of this functionality across computer operating systems and modern applications, where it has been embraced by leading brands worldwide as an essential feature. This is the sixth part of the mini-series about Luna Screens' features.
So Why Do People Still Use It Today?
That’s simple! It is a very effective and indispensable method to transfer data. With the internet and modern software applications, transferring files and digital content from one destination to the other is a constant necessity. We know how important it is to keep your digital workspace organised and efficient. Gone are the days of tedious file management. And that’s why you will love that the same drag-and-drop feature is also found in Luna Screens.
Why You Will Love It with Luna Screens
Luna Screens at its core screams SIMPLICITY at its best! But at the same time, its sophistication and features work to ensure improved productivity and keep things user-friendly. It allows its users to still do the manual and single file transfers but supports the much more favored drag-and-drop feature for file management.
No complicated steps. Just drag your files from your device folder and drop them to the media library.
Spend less time organising multiple files and more time doing something else.
Designed to provide a great user experience and easy navigation.
Here Is How to Do It:
Click multiple files while holding down ‘CTRL’ on your computer keyboard and drag them while also left clicking and pressing down the left button of your mouse; and then, dropping them into the Luna Screens Media Library page. When you hover your cursor over the center of the media library page, a box will appear. Each uploaded file will display its status as either uploaded, uploading, or queued. Once all files are processed, click 'Done' to complete the process. The steps and results should resemble the screenshots below.
